MAIER Strand Flaker PB

The MAIER Strand Flaker PB processes macro-chips from various wood assortments into slender flakes, which enable a reduction in board density while maintaining the same mechanical board properties. These flakes are characterized by a special geometry and an optimal slenderness ratio.

The new MAIER Strand Flaker PB 1500 PLUS features a compact footprint and high performance that’s due to 3D material distribution using the FlowOptimizer and an extra-wide knife ring. Its modern design features improved maintenance, adjustability and operation. Optimization of the material feed and cleaning system ensures a higher material loading volume. The modified Heavy Particle Separator enables easy and precise adjustment of separation efficiency, either mechanically or electrically. The static knife ring and the rotor, which operates according to the one-shaft principle, ensure high cutting accuracy and excellent flake quality. The special rotor and knife ring design enable the macro-chips to be cut into the required slender flakes. The main performance parameters can be monitored and recorded in real-time.
