Bubbling fluidized bed boiler with 74 MW fuel heat input for combusting waste wood (French waste wood classes Bois A&B) with up to 50% coarse rejects from the paper industry. The power plant is suitable for fuel mixtures with a Cl content of up to 0.5% by weight and a high N content of up to 2.4% by weight.
The plant’s SCR system minimizes NOₓ emissions. A heat transfer system recovers heat from the exhaust gas to further increase the plant’s efficiency. This heat preheats the combustion air.
For NOₓ reduction, a urea-based SNCR system with an ammonia slip catalyst was implemented. The ammonia slip catalyst resides downstream of the bag filter. For optimized performance and maximum boiler efficiency, heat recovery takes place after the ammonia slip catalyst using a feedwater preheater.
