That’s how we helped Wanhua get ahead
Since 2015, when Wanhua Ecoboard signed the first supply contract for a straw-based particleboard plant, the company has relied on our expertise in alternative raw materials and the processing of annual plants and fast-growing woods. In October 2017, the first straw-based particleboard was produced in Chenzhou in the province of Hunan. That’s how we’re harmonizing environmental protection and economic efficiency for Wanhua.
The cooperation between Wanhua and Dieffenbacher already covered six straw-based particleboard lines when Wanhua expanded its production to include straw-based MDF, Fine OSB and Super PB with four additional lines between 2019 and 2021. In total, Wanhua now operates ten Dieffenbacher plants.
Wanhua's fine OSB plants use the MAIER 2-stage OSB technology, consisting of a MAIER OSB drum chipper and MAIER strand flakers, to produce strands from weak wood assortments.
