Given the lower cost of the raw material, OSB is an economical alternative to plywood for almost every application, but there was always one limitation: OSB’s poor laminating capability caused by its uneven board surface. Fine OSB eliminated this limitation. In Fine OSB, the OSB core layer is covered top and bottom by layers of particleboard to give a better structure to the top surface. In 2013 and 2019, Luli has ordered two complete Fine OSB lines from Dieffenbacher.
Both lines use a proven combination of a MAIER OSB drum chipper with several MAIER strand flakers for strand production, which can be individually adapted to each application. The surface layer material is prepared using efficient MAIER impact mills.
