Your working conditions at Dieffenbacher

Your activities and working environment

As a wood technician, you’ll commission systems worldwide, make service calls and develop innovations for our systems and products. You’ll play a key role at our customers’ construction sites and get their systems up and running.

You’ll work on product innovation, directly on systems or in process engineering. Sustainability is always a high priority. When considering the use of alternative raw materials or biodegradable processes, your creativity is encouraged.

Teamwork

Team spirit is essential at Dieffenbacher. As a wood technician performing system commissioning worldwide, you’ll be in constant contact with local teams on site and the technology team worldwide. Problems are discussed, and solutions are developed together.

Thanks to the flat hierarchy of our family-owned company, you’ll help shape a bright future for our customers and yourself. We’ll recognize your contributions, and your opinions and ideas will always be listened to.

Place of work

Depending on the job and position, you may be required to travel up to 90% of the time. That means you’ll get to know new countries and cultures around the world. That’s because our customers operate our machines and systems in over 80 countries, from Egypt to New Zealand.

You’ll benefit from flights regularly and be compensated with additional vacation time if your flights occur on personal time.

During your time in the office, you’ll work in Eppingen or from your residence in Germany. It’s your choice.

Your entry into the field of wood technology

From graduate to Global Director, wood technicians are represented in all areas at Dieffenbacher.

As you start your career, you’ll have opportunities to learn the various areas of wood technology. We’ll prepare you for exciting and responsible activities through targeted training, assignments on our construction sites in Germany and abroad, and support from our planning departments.

Many career paths are open for direct entry. As a wood technician with professional experience, you’ll have the opportunity to travel extensively, be close to the action and have important responsibilities. As an employee in process engineering, you can specialize in a product group such as gluing. You can also contribute your expertise in plant planning or order management. Last but not least, a career as a team leader or in sales can put your leadership skills to the test.
