Job description
- Ensuring customer satisfaction with regard to maintaining and increasing plant availability and product quality
- Supporting and advising customers in the office and in the field
- Leading and motivating subordinate employees
- Strategic expansion of the service
- Continuous market analysis
- Designing market-specific concepts
- Optimizing process flows
- Planning customer training courses
- Processing complaints
- Coordinating customer contacts and service calls
- Monitoring and controlling on-site customer service assignments with regard to duration and follow-up measures.
- Providing logistical and technical advice to the on-site service groups in case of problems and, if necessary, supporting them (product information, warranty, goodwill arrangements).
- Assisting in the creation of service literature: for service manuals, creation of service information, provision of tools, repair and service times. Assist in image selection and design.
- Select and compile repair kits for new products and stimulate further development, if necessary.
- Participation in TEO service
- Traveling nationally in Brazil and Latin America – 30% approximately
- Travel organization
Job requirements
- Successfully completed technical apprenticeship or university degree in the field of mechanical engineering or mechatronics ideally commercial understanding
- Comprehensive understanding of service processes, business processes and customer service management
- Professional experience in a similar or the same position
- Analytical and economic thinking
- Interdisciplinary collaboration
- Customer and service understanding as well as good negotiating skills
- Organized and structured way of working
- Experience in leading and motivating staff
- High degree of personal responsibility and initiative
- Empathy
- Goal-oriented and success-oriented approach to work

- Responsible for technical consulting about and supervising work or jobs performed on Dieffenbacher supplied equipment throughout Nord America in the wood panel industry
- This equipment includes Dieffenbacher OEM (original equipment manufacturer) and any of their subsidiary companies that make up entire wood-panel manufacturing facilities
Job requirements
- Journeyman’s license in the electrical or mechanical field or hold a degree in electrical and/or mechanical engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing or production facilities, preferably the wood based panel manufacturing industry
- Experience with Rockwell® plc control platforms and be familiar with HMI interface software
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems an mechanical equipment and the operating processes in this equipment
- Significant travel (up to 80%)
- Excellent professional English language an absolute must

Who is eligible for these student internships?
Students from the eighth grade onwards in the Hauptschule (lower-stream German junior high schools) and students from the ninth grade onwards in the Realschule and Gymnasium (upper-stream German junior high schools and German high schools).
What types of student internships are there?
We offer internships that last for one to two weeks, except during the summer and Christmas vacations.
What is on offer?
This internship provides students with their first insight into the world of work and the daily routine. The students are also offered special assistance when it comes to making their future career choices. Interns can take the opportunity to recognize their own preferences, interests, and capabilities consciously. Discussions and practical activities allow them to find out more about the professional world and future jobs.
