Higher component quality due to a vacuum that reduces air inclusions to a minimum
Shorter cycle times, due to simultaneous processing of several layups
Wide range of applications, thanks to high-temperature materials (up to 400°C)
Flexible in the contour of the scrim
Porosities < 1% achievable
Perfect fiber alignment, no squeeze flow and no fiber ondulations
Three pairs of frames with glass inserts
Processable scrim thickness: 0.5 mm - 6 mm
Processable scrim size: 940 x 1740 mm
Max. process temperature: 400 °C
Heating elements: Infrared radiator
Coolant: Water
Flexible sheet simplifies geometry- and thickness-independent consolidation
While in the standard version the vacuum consolidation of the tape layups takes place between two frames with transparent glass inserts, in the new Fibercon Flex version, the upper frame is equipped with a flexible sheet that automatically adapts to the contour of the tape layup. Variable layup thicknesses and geometries of up to 4 mm can thus be consolidated in very high quality without any inserters or component-specific tools. This applies to all thermoplastic applications based on PP or PA6 for example in the sports and leisure and automotive sectors. You can retrofit your existing lines with the flex option at any time and without great effort.
Temperature range of up to 250 °C enables ideal consolidation for all PP and PA6 applications, regardless of the fiber type used.
Significantly higher consolidation quality compared to consolidation with laminating presses, as thickness variations in the part are preserved and neither squeeze flow nor fiber ondulation occur
Optimal energy consumption due to sequential heating time (in contrast to permanently heated laminating presses)
Maximum flexibility as one foil insert can be configured per station (Fibercon is delivered with three stations)
Insert integration (e.g. metals) possible
Layer thickness: 0 mm – 4 mm
Max. consolidation: 940 x 1740 mm
Process temperature: up to 250°C
Thickness variations in the scrim up to 4mm processable
