In 2017, Roseburg Forest Products asked Dieffenbacher to supply the central plant components for an LVL plant that would set new standards in LVL production. On October 28, 2019, the company celebrated the opening of the plant in Chester, South Carolina.

More than 65-m long and with a daily output of 800 m³, the CPS press is the heart of the new LVL plant. It is the world’s largest continuous LVL press, as measured by production capacity. The upstream 600 kW microwave, also supplied by Dieffenbacher, is the most powerful preheating system of its type in LVL production. Even before the project was approved, the collaboration between Roseburg and Dieffenbacher included numerous engineering and planning meetings and site tours around the world.
