Components for the automotive industry are produced on a GMT-LFT-D line. The line was previously operated with old Reis robots several years ago. When the manufacturer discontinued service and spare parts support, Autoneum invested in a new line control system with 6-axis robots, modernized by Dieffenbacher. Dieffenbacher installed a new line control system including Safety PLC with three 6-axis robots. In addition, various axes of the loading and unloading robots were modernized. A special challenge was the design of the old Reis robots and the resulting limited space conditions on site.
