Meeting obligations, obtaining added value
Dieffenbacher is qualified to inspect hydraulic presses and punch presses by any manufacturer in accordance with DIN EN 693 for metal presses and DIN EN 289 for composites presses.
Scope of services
In the composites business we also offer a review of the overall plant. After completion of each test, the press operator receives a record which can be submitted to the Institution for Statutory Accident Insurance and Prevention to provide evidence of the performed accident prevention inspection. The comprehensive safety inspection includes the following services:
Assessment of the workplace
Functional check of the switch inhibitor
Functional check of the protection of the inner space of the plant (scanner)
Check of the press control for compliance with applicable standards
Error simulation on the control
Functional check of all emergency stop buttons acting on the machine and the plant
Functional check of the two-hand control panels, push buttons and foot switches and functional check of the light curtains
Functional check of the safety doors, safety guards and gates that prevent access to the danger area of the plant
Overrun test to determine the actually required safety margin
Check of the mechanical and hydraulic system (see below for a detailed description of the scope)
Mechanical inspection
- Check of the press frame for visible cracks
- Visual inspection of the screws at the connection between piston rod and ram
- Functional check of the installed ram locking
- Check of the holding force of the clamping head (if installed)
- Assessment of all visible welding seams
Hydraulic inspection
- Determination of visible leaks
- Check of the condition of the hose lines
- Check of the safety valves and their pipe connections to the cylinder for compliance with the applicable standards
- Leak measurements on the installeds afety valves
- Check of the safe lowering speed of the ram
