DIEFFENBACHER Energy to build new office building in Bludenz

Construction will begin in fall 2025

The Austrian DIEFFENBACHER subsidiary DIEFFENBACHER Energy will begin construction of a new office building in Bludenz, Vorarlberg, in fall 2025. The building will be located near the company’s two existing sites, in walking distance of the Bludenz train station and the old town.

The new office building, featuring a large roof terrace, will accommodate more than 140 workstations in 1,400 m² of office space. The 1,500 m² site will also feature 30 bicycle and 11 e-bike parking and charging spaces. The underground car park offers room for 50 cars. Four additional parking spaces, including charging facilities for electric vehicles, are planned aboveground.

“The new office building is an enormously important step in the development of our company. It enables us to provide our employees—currently just over 100 here in Bludenz—with state-of-the-art workplaces and create an atmosphere that supports them in their daily work. The new building also offers us sufficient space for further personnel growth,” explains DIEFFENBACHER Energy Managing Director Wolfgang Lashofer.

“I think it’s even more important that we will be able to bring our team, which has been working at two different locations in Bludenz, together in one place,” Lashofer continues. “This will strengthen our sense of unity, facilitate internal coordination and accelerate our processes. Ultimately, this benefits our partners and customers in the form of improved workflows, shorter response times and even more intensive support.”

DIEFFENBACHER Energy was founded in January 2023 when the German machine and plant manufacturer DIEFFENBACHER acquired a subsidiary of Bertsch Holding GmbH, which had years of experience in supplying individual components and complete solid fuel, gas and liquid fuel-fired power plants. Since then, DIEFFENBACHER Energy has continued to use the company headquarters in Bludenz as a tenant while renting additional office space in the city. With the completion of the new building, all workplaces will be relocated to the new location, and the previous leases will be terminated.
