Tips for applications
What should you include in a written application?
A wide range of "portfolios" are available from specialist shops. They are all suitable, from simple spring binders to high-quality three-part folders. But you should always remember one thing: Do not use clear plastic folders.
The covering letter is the first sheet of the application and should be no longer than one A4 page. It accompanies the actual application and is therefore not included in the folder. The layout should comply with DIN 5008 (basis for business letters).
The CV should be written in tabular form, on a typewriter or PC. Generic headings are used (professional experience, vocational training, level of education); within these groups, the periods of time are listed in reverse chronological order from the most recent date.
What should be included in a CV?
- Personal information
- Level of education
- Vocational training
- Specialist knowledge
- Place, date, signature
Enclose only clearly legible copies of references and not originals. References do not have to be authenticated.
The same criteria apply to online applications as for a written application. Please ensure that you send your documentation as a PDF file.
